The young and inexperienced NĂĄsiriâd-Din ShĂĄh made MĂrzĂĄ TaqĂ KhĂĄn the new Grand VazĂr. He is better known by the titles of AmĂr-KabĂr [the Great Commander] or AmĂr-NizĂĄm [Commander of Armed Forces]. The new Grand Vazier was no better than the previous one. While HĂĄjĂ MĂrzĂĄ ĂqĂĄsĂ is described by ShoghĂ EffendĂ as âa vulgar, false-hearted and fickle-minded schemerâ,57ACT7 MĂrzĂĄ TaqĂ KhĂĄn is described as âarbitrary, bloodthirsty, recklessâ. 58ACT7 MĂrzĂĄ TaqĂ KhĂĄn believed that his predecessor had been too soft on the BĂĄb and the BĂĄbĂs.
