The road to Máh-Kú via Tabríz

Máh-Kú was a small fortress in the side of the mountain, with a village at its base. Although not near it, the city closest to Máh-Kú was the city of Tabríz
. Tabríz was also where the Grand Vazír had all the people in power well under his influence. The same mounted escort led by Muhammad Big who had brought the Báb all the way from Isfáhán, was now asked to take Him to Tabríz. The retinue had been told to avoid entering any cities or major towns that were on the way.
The Báb’s travel from 1846 to 1848. Route outlined is an approximation as details of all stops are not known. The main route from Tihrán to Tabríz goes through two major cities, Qazvín and Zanján. The Báb, not being allowed into any of the major towns, only stayed in villages on the outskirts of these cities until they reached Tabríz [East Ádhirbáyján province] and from there sent to prison, first to Máh-Ku for nine months [West Ádhirbáyján province]. 102ACT5
