      That evening the Báb revealed a tablet in honour of Mírzá Jání. The amanuensis Siyyid Husayn-i-Yazdí
      transcribed it. In it, the Báb prays that Mírzá Jání’s heart may be filled with the light of Divine knowledge and his tongue be unloosed for proclamation of His Cause. Mírzá Jání was a merchant and not considered to be very literate and certainly not versed in religious matters like the learned clergy [the ‘ulamá]. In the years that followed, Mírzá Jání became endowed with such knowledge and eloquence that he could silence the most learned of the clergy
