The Báb, like all other Manifestations of God, is a Manifestation of God from birth, Nabíl records how the Báb got the intimation of manifesting to us in this physical realm the outpourings of the Holy Spirit:
In one of His writings revealed in the year sixty [1260 AH], the Báb declares the following: “The spirit of prayer which animates My soul is the direct consequence of a dream which I had in the year before the declaration of My Mission. In My vision I saw the head of the Imám Husayn, the
Siyyidu’sh-Shuhadá 106ACT2 , which was hanging upon a tree. Drops of blood dripped profusely from His lacerated throat. With feelings of unsurpassed delight, I approached that tree and, stretching forth My hands, gathered a few drops of that sacred blood, and drank them devoutly. When I awoke, I felt that the Spirit of God had permeated and taken possession of My soul. My heart was thrilled with the joy of His Divine presence, and the mysteries of His Revelation were unfolded before My eyes in all their glory.”

The year 1260 AH / 1844 CE
In several of His Writings the Báb affirms that the Holy Spirit summoned Him to manifest His Revelation in this physical realm early in 1260 AH/1844 CE. In the
Kitáb al-Haramayn , the Báb states: “In truth, the first day that the Spirit descended into the heart of this Slave, was the fifteenth of the month of
Rabí’ al-Awwal [4 April 1844].”

And in a letter addressed to His family written while He was in the prison of Máh-Kú, the Báb wrote: “Nineteen days before the commencement of the revelation, he [i.e. Siyyid Kázim] joined the Heavenly Host and the beginning of 1260 was the time the secret [
bátin ] was first revealed.”
