Amír-Kabír’s order to execute the Báb is received

Three days after the Báb’s arrival in Tabríz, a farmán
[an official court order] was received from the Amír-Kabír, delivered by the Amír-Kabír’s own brother, Mírzá Hasan Khán, who was also the Vazír Nizám
[Minister of the army]. According to Nabíl, this new order commanded:
… [the governor] to carry out the execution of his Prisoner on the very day the farmán. would reach him. Whoever would profess himself His follower was likewise to be condemned to death. The Armenian regiment of Urúmíyyih, whose colonel was Sám Khán
, was ordered to shoot Him, in the courtyard of the barracks of Tabríz, which were situated in the centre of the city. 10_ACT13

The governor did not want to be part of such an act. He told the Amír-Kabír’s brother [Mírzá Hasan Khán] this task should be given to someone else. When Mírzá Hasan Khán reported this back to his brother, the Amír-Kabír, he was ordered to put more pressure on the governor and get the execution done as soon as possible. But the pressure did not work. The governor found excuses including pretending to be too sick to meet Mírzá Hasan Khán. So, the Amír-Kabír ordered his own brother, Mírzá Hasan Khán, to take command and execute the order.
