The Báb is brought to Tabríz

The Amír-Kabír gave instructions to the governor of the province [Adhirbáyján] to bring the Báb from Chihríq to Tabríz. This governor, Navváb Hamzih Mírzá, who was also a prince [one of the many sons of one of the previous Sháhs], was a cautious man and mindful of the impact of his decisions. The Amír-Kabír had only asked for the Báb to be brought to Tabríz, without disclosing his real intentions. The governor thought the plan was to send the Báb back to His home, Shíráz. So, he sent some of his men to Chihríq and brought the Báb to Tabríz. He had the Báb stay at one of the governor’s friend’s homes in Tabríz and also ordered that the Báb be treated with respect. 9_ACT13
