infant child to him to make him change his mind, but the efforts failed.19__ACT13 Nabíl records that when they got to Mámaqání, and Anís was being pushed to recant his faith, Anís had cried out:
“Never, will I renounce my Master. He is the essence of my faith, and the object of my truest adoration. In Him I have found my paradise, and in the observance of His law I recognise the ark of my salvation.”

      On hearing this Mámaqání thundered:

“Hold your peace! Such words betray your madness; I can well excuse the words for which you are not responsible.”

      To which Anís retorted:

“I am not mad. Such a charge should rather be brought against you who have sentenced to death a man no less holy than the promised Qá’im. He is not a fool who has embraced His Faith and is longing to shed his blood in His path.”20_ACT13

The farrásh-báshí now delivered the Báb and the fatwás ordering His execution to Sám Khán, the head of the Armenian regiment. In a last-ditch effort to save Anís, he was going to be separated from the Báb and placed with the other companions. But Anís burst into tears and begged to be allowed to stay with his Master. So, he was also delivered into the hands of Sám Khán, who was ordered to execute him with the Báb, if he did not recant his Faith. The Báb and Anís were now put into a separate room by themselves to await their execution. [Note: Siyyid Husayn-i-Yazdí
