      They gather in Badasht

A few days after leaving Mashhad en route to Mázindarán, when they were close to Sháh-Rúd, Quddús met the Bábí Mírzá Sulaymán of Núr 87ACT6. Mírzá Sulaymán relayed to Quddús all that had transpired in Qazvín, how Táhirih was rescued, and that now both she and Bahá’u’lláh together with some other believers were on their way to Mashhad. He also informed Quddús that the believers had camped at Badasht, the hamlet outside Sháh-Rúd, and were waiting for Bahá’u’lláh and Táhirih to arrive before they set out for Mashhad.

Quddús and his two companions, now headed to Badasht, which they reached at the hour of dawn. They briefly met the group of believers who had already arrived some days earlier and camped there but decided to head to Sháh-Rúd to meet Bahá’u’lláh. It so happened that soon after Quddús’ departure, Bahá’u’lláh got to  Badasht. On hearing about Quddús heading for Sháh-Rúd, Bahá’u’lláh himself set out on horseback to meet him. The next morning’s sunrise saw Bahá’u’lláh return to Badasht together with Quddús. Táhirih had also arrived. The stage was now set for the historic gathering of Badasht.
