      At Níyálá they get dispersed

A revolution is messy and confusing especially for those who don’t properly understand the new principles that are being born. This was the case for some of the Bábí’s at Badasht. Such confusion can also be used by selfish individuals as a cover for what they want to do. This also occurred with a few Bábís after Badasht. They took the abrogation of the old laws of Islám to mean that they could do whatever they wanted; in the words of Nabíl: “to gratify their own selfish desires.” 105ACT6 This resulted in the local population rising up against the Bábí caravan, and it came to a head in the village of Níyálá, where the caravan had camped.
Approximate route of Bábí caravan from Badasht [outside Sháh-Rúd, Semnán province] to Níyálá [just across the border into Mazindaran province]. The capital Tihrán is on bottom left corner. From google maps. Modern spelling of towns and cities in map differ from the spelling used in Dawn-Breakers text e.g. Simnán/Semnan; Tihrán/Teheran; Badasht/Bedasht; Níyálá/Niala. 106ACT6

The Bábí camp at Níyálá was attacked at the hour of dawn. Several were wounded. The whole caravan was dispersed, as they fled for safety. Bahá’u’lláh got Táhirih and Quddús out safely but contact with Quddús was lost when he didn’t come to the place they were meant to meet. When the tumult had subsided, Bahá’u’lláh met with villagers who had attacked, and made them understand that their acts were not justified. Peace was restored and the villagers even returned some of the goods
