Táhirih’s stay in Hamadán
From Kirmánsháh, Táhirih went to Hamadán . where she stayed for about two months. Unlike the previous towns, the reception of the mullás and people of Hamadán was mixed. While some openly praised her, others privately worked to undermine her and provoke the people against her. Táhirih sent Mullá Ibráhím Mahallátí to present to the chief mujtahid of Hamadán her own writings in defence of the Bábí Cause. Mahallátí was attacked and severely beaten.
