And the Báb adds that this Revelation could be more, but He reduces its speed so the amanuensis [means assistant who writes what is dictated or copies manuscripts] can keep up:

He [the Báb] reciteth verses at a speed consonant with the capacity of His amanuensis to set them down. 38ACT5

This vast flow of Revelation from God on the Day of Resurrection is prophesied in the hadíth that says:

Knowledge is twenty and seven letters. All that the Prophets have revealed are two letters thereof. No man thus far hath known more than these two letters. But when the Qá’im shall arise, He will cause the remaining twenty and five letters to be made manifest. 39ACT5
The seekers of the Qá’im looked for two additional metrics when assessing whether a writing is Revelation or not: Firstly, as with all Revelation, it should not be premeditated but spontaneous; and secondly, it should not be based on knowledge learned from schools or other human sources, but from the Divine Source. 40ACT5 Both the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh were considered to be “unlettered”, meaning not of the learned clergy who had gone through schooling in religious studies. The revelation of these amazing verses which matched the beauty and depth of those of the Qur’án from a young person not considered to be one of the learned, and with such incredible spontaneity and rapidity was indeed a miracle for the seekers. It fulfilled the proofs that the Qur’án itself asked for. But as we will see, some will find reasons to contend with even this proof. All have eyes to see, but the self-centered souls chose to keep their eyes shut and remain lost in the darkness of their own blindness.
