Husayn Khán replied to ‘Abdu’l-Hamíd Khán that the Bab should be released immediately and given freedom to go wherever He might please.

The Báb knew the day to leave Shíráz was coming

Nabíl records that several months earlier, on the occasion of Naw-Rúz11ACT5 of 1846 AD, which the Báb quietly celebrated in His own home with His family, He had showered upon them His love and prepared them for the future. At that time, He had also bequeathed to His mother and wife all His possessions and transferred to their names the title of His property.
We know that the Báb’s wife was aware of the dawn of the Revelation from the beginning. 12ACT5 Nabíl describes how the Báb prepared His wife for the future to come:
[He] confided the secret of His future sufferings, and unfolded to her eyes the significance of the events that were to transpire in His Day. He bade her not to divulge this secret to His mother and counselled her to be patient and resigned to the will of God. He entrusted her with a special prayer, revealed and written by Himself, the reading of which, He assured her, would remove her difficulties and lighten the burden of her woes. “In the hour of your perplexity,” He directed her, “recite this prayer ere you go to sleep. I Myself will appear to you and will banish your anxiety.” Faithful to His advice, every time she turned to Him in prayer, the light of His unfailing guidance illumined her path and resolved her problems. 13ACT5

This was where He was staying when the chief constable came to arrest Him with the orders from Husayn Khán to execute Him secretly – a scheme we know did not go as planned. By this time, the Báb had also sent all His disciples who had settled in Shíráz away, including His closest amanuenses14ACT5 : Mullá ‘Abdu’l-Karím
